How much do I pay my first visit?

The cost for 1 pair of custom foot orthotics are $317.  At the time of the first visit, I will take a payment of $167.  When you pickup your orthotics (about 1 week later), your final payment will be $150.  

Do I get a deal if I buy extra pairs of custom foot orthotics?

Yes, if you want extra pairs from the same foot cast, the costs are $247 per extra pair. $237 when you order at the same time as the first pair!

Can my extra pairs of orthotics be different from the original?

Yes, your extra pairs can be different from the same cast.  We can change top covers, put in padding and other modifications.

Do you direct bill to my extended health insurance?

I do not direct bill.  I will provide you with the paper work that your insurance company may need that may include:  how the custom orthotics were casted and materials used to make them, proof of manufacturing, biomechanical and gait analysis, prescription (if required) and a detailed invoice.

Will I need a prescription if I am using my insurance?

The safe answer is yes.  Most companies like Sun Life, Canada Life and Manulife will require a prescription from a medical doctor or a podiatrist.  As a Chiropractor, I am able to provide a prescription for Alberta Blue Cross. Check with your insurance provider.

How much will my insurance pay?

Call your insurance company and find out.  Some pay $200 and others allow up to $500.  It will vary among policies.

How long will I have to wait until my insurance covers me for custom foot orthotics again?

Some policies are on a yearly renewal and others maybe 2 years.  Again, this depends on your policy.  It is good to call your insurance provider and find out.

Do I need a prescription if I am not using extended health insurance?

No, you do not need a prescription if you are not using extended health insurance.
